Supported by the National Science Foundation, U.S. Department of Education, and various state and local organizations, we serve educational institutions and youth development organizations in New York and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong>As a member of our Curriculum and Instruction Content Team, you will contribute to improving our digital self-guided career learning experiences for youth aged 14-24. These experiences are designed to teach and foster career readiness and social-emotional learning (SEL) competencies essential for the workplace in engaging, fun, and meaningful ways.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reporting to the Senior Curriculum &amp; Instruction Manager, you will produce high-quality educational content as we adapt, optimize, and migrate our existing educational content into a new platform. To thrive in this role, you\u2019ll need an eye for instructional design, comfort navigating digital tools, and a strong ability to receive and incorporate feedback. Additionally, the ideal candidate has experience collaborating with a small, fast-moving team, and demonstrates adaptability and sound judgment about when to take initiative and when to ask for guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Draft, edit, curate, and produce new and existing digital career education content in various formats, such as videos, learning activities, and assessments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop interactive elements and multimedia components for existing content to enhance engagement and make learning fun and impactful.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leverage digital assessment and content production tools to author and edit interactive question types that teach and assess career learning outcomes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure all content adheres to our style guide, is clear, logical, and polished.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain culturally responsive and age-appropriate content.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Respond constructively to feedback and make necessary revisions to submitted work.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide regular updates on assigned tasks and ensure timely delivery of milestones.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support other curriculum and content development tasks as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Passion for supporting youth in their career development journey<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience producing instructional content using digital tools for youth and young adults<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;Strong writing skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into appealing and engaging experiences<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency\/willingness to learn software such as Learnosity, Canva, and Google Suite<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to make informed decisions in ambiguous situations and work collaboratively in cross-functional teams<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of instructional design principles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to receive and incorporate feedback and take direction<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Highly organized, tech-savvy, and able to meet deadlines with keen attention to detail<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>BONUS POINTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Familiarity with WIOA, CASEL, CTE, and\/or ASCA standards and experience with state-specific standards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience working in career development, youth mentorship, and\/or education<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Familiarly using Learnosity and eLearning\/authoring tools<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Instructional prompt engineering using AI tools<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>NYC-based and willing to collaborate in our Flatiron office as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>WHAT WE OFFER<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A fun, creative start-up environment with deep collaboration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flexibility in setting work hours and location<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meaningful, mission-driven work with opportunities for growth<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Potential for full-time opportunities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>COMPENSATION<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong>$32 to $36 an hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a 1099 contract position.
